A lesson from Moses that we as leaders can learn

Exodus 17:10-13 (The Message)

10-13 Joshua did what Moses ordered in order to fight Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went to the top of the hill. It turned out that whenever Moses raised his hands, Israel was winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, Amalek was winning. But Moses' hands got tired. So they got a stone and set it under him. He sat on it and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on each side. So his hands remained steady until the sun went down. Joshua defeated Amalek and its army in battle.

This is a good lesson for leaders, Don't go it alone, your arms will get tired. By looking at this lesson from Moses, we see that a great leader has at least two others leading with him.

My prayer is not to be a great leader like Moses, but to be a faithful friend like Hur. He doesn't get mentioned much in the scripture, but His encouragement and help for Moses was greatly needed and I am sure appreciated.
